The 4th annual Stanardsville Parade of Lights was Habitat's first foray into this December event. It had been snowing all day and many thought the event would be cancelled. But intrepid local volunteers, businesses and students braved the damp night air to put on a show and the community did not disappoint. Plenty of well-wishers lined Main Street and wished us Merry Christmas as we drove by in our Greene Habitat float.

The float: A 20' x 8' A-frame structure built out of 2x4s onto a Dodge pickup truck and strung with lights.

The 8 strands of Christmas tree lights looked great after dark, lighting up the framed "house" just right.

All lit up and ready to head out and advertise Habitat to the people of Greene County.

What you can't see are the 2 adults and 6 kids in the back throwing candy canes to the crowds.
